If you're considering buying a live or fresh cut Christmas tree this holiday season, you've probably done your homework. You've researched which kind stays the freshest. Any live tree is sure to have a few insect inhabitants. Sometimes these critters survive the trip from the Christmas tree field to your front door. In cold weather climates, most of the adult insects are probably long gone, but insect eggs may find your warm and cozy home a good place to hatch. Nothing like a few hundred baby bugs to liven up your holiday celebration.

Still, there's no need to be a Grinch. Follow my tips on debugging your Christmas tree, and you're guaranteed to find nothing but presents under its branches.
