Another House Bites the Dust

Saturday November 8, 2008

Yet another homeowner has blown his house to bits trying to get rid of insect pests. A man in Millville, NJ, set off an arsenal of bug bombs in his home. Besides using an excessive number of defoggers, he also neglected to turn off the pilot to his gas stove.

So what happens when you mix an open flame with a room full of flammable gas? BOOM!

Just this week, I wrote about a 5-year study of accidents and illnesses related to the misuse of total room defoggers. The Millville explosion is not an unusual incident, unfortunately.

If you are using a bug bomb product to kill insect pests in your home or business, please do the right thing. Read the directions, and more importantly, follow them.
