More Bad Luck for California Honeybees

First Colony Collapse Disorder. Then honeybee heists by sneaky bee bandits. There's an expression that bad things come in three's, and for California honeybees that seems to hold true. A truck driver transporting commercial honeybee hives took a turn a bit too fast, spilling several hundred bee colonies and millions of honeybees onto a Sacramento highway. The surprised bees stung quite a few police officers and other first responders.

Some goodhearted beekeepers in the area volunteered to restore order, spending hours collecting lost bees and restacking hive boxes. I hope this means a change in luck for bees from the Golden State.
