Imagine a world without Rocky Road, Banana Split, or Cherry Vanilla ice cream - not a pretty picture, right? The folks at Häagen Dazs take the honey bee crisis seriously, because their business depends on many of the crops pollinated by honey bees. In just the last few years, the United States has lost 25% of its honey bee population. Nearly one third of our food crops require pollination by these industrious insects. Despite this agricultural crisis, more than half of Americans are unaware of the problem. That's why Häagen Dazs recently stepped up to the pint and got involved.

Häagen Dazs launched the Häagen-Dazs loves Honey Bees™ campaign to fund honey bee research and to get the public involved in saving the honey bees. To mark the new initiative, Häagen Dazs created a new, limited edition flavor - Vanilla Honey Bee. Visit the campaign website, helpthehoneybees.com, to learn what other Häagen Dazs flavors depend on honey bees. On the animated site you can fly a honey bee around the meadow, download honey bee wallpaper and a screensaver, and build your own honey bee to send to a friend.

Through the Häagen-Dazs loves Honey Bees™ campaign, Häagen Dazs will donate $250,000 to honey bee research at Penn State University and the University of California - Davis. Some of those funds will come from sales of honey bee dependent flavors, tagged with the new HD loves HB™ icon. Get a pint today, and help save the honey bee!

It is really important for me to find someway to make a comment to researchers. I had majored in biology and have a good theory as to the cause of their (the honey bees) unexplained demise and plunge into extinction.
I do not make much money, but will try to buy the ice cream on months that I have some extra scratch available from my disability check.
I know money is important, but I truly believe that I have vital knowledge that will help guide researchers down a path that will provide an answer. If you could tell me how to contact them, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, krissylynny62@alltel.net.
